Hi, I’m Ellen, the Webonatrix. I’m here to whip your website into shape.

With 8 years of experience in all things digital, I’m here to take the mental load off, so you can focus on the parts of your business that really bring you joy. It’s all about zones of genius- you do what you do best, and I deliver you a website that supports your goals and aspirations for your business.

But bringing you along on the journey is another key part of what I do- I want you to understand what’s happening with your site because, after all, it’s *your* site.

Here you will find information about key previous website projects and content I’ve worked on, as well as what I can do for you. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me, or alternatively, message me on LinkedIn.

Whether you need help with one or all of those things, I’d love to take your project in hand!

‘Strokes of Genius’ is my quick-start guide to some key things you can do *right now* to whip your website into shape. It’s available as a free PDF download when you subscribe to my mailing list.

How I can help

I offer a range of support, whether you need someone to build you a site from the ground up or manage what you’ve already got, whatever you need.

I make it clear and simple for you to figure out what you need, and how much it will cost. I’m upfront about pricing, and what bang you’ll get for your buck.

What might that look like? Clear content. The right language for your users, in the right style for you. Making interacting with your site (and you) simple for your users. Accessible to all. Up-to-date. Making the most of what you have. Works great across multiple devices.

Past Projects

CoNZealand

The 78th annual Worldcon (World Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention) was due to be held in Wellington in 2020. Then the pandemic happened and the convention moved online- I was tasked with building the website ‘hub’ for attendees.

Victoria University

My first website improvement project, my first digital role. A steep learning curve where I was involved in information architecture, content strategy, a content audit, content writing for 100s of pages, user testing, and best practice training.

Auckland Live

A website improvement project tying overhauling content with moving to a custom Asgard CMS for Auckland Live, a Council Controlled Organisation managing live entertainment venues across Auckland including the Civic and Auckland Town Hall.

The Blind Foundation

As a charity catering to people who are blind or have low vision, the Blind Foundation (now Blind and Low Vision New Zealand) website overhaul required working with the external developer team to deliver best-practice accessibility.
